  • What does an AI consultant do?

    An AI consultant helps a leadership team decide where AI is worth using, where it is not, and how to adopt it without buying the wrong stack. At Matrix AI that means opportunity selection, governance, training and implementation support — not a software sale.

  • Do you work as an AI consultant in Auckland and across New Zealand and Australia?

    Yes. We work with organisations in Auckland and nationwide across New Zealand, and with clients in Australia. Delivery is in person or remote. Auckland is a base, not a limit.

  • What is the difference between AI consultancy and an AI workshop?

    Consultancy is the decision work: strategy, use-case selection, risk, vendor-neutral recommendations, implementation oversight. A workshop builds capability in the team, usually on ChatGPT, Copilot or a private leadership session. Most clients need both. Neither requires you to buy a platform from us.

  • Do you use off-the-shelf AI tools?

    We are tool-agnostic. We help you choose what fits the work, the data and the risk — Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude or something else — without referral fees tied to a vendor.

  • What industries do you work with?

    Agriculture, construction, infrastructure, education, retail, professional services and government, across New Zealand and Australia. We take one company per sector at a time.

  • How is Matrix AI different from a vendor or a Big Four AI team?

    We do not sell software, cloud or a product. Advice is independent. The work is built for boards, CEOs and operators who need a position they can defend, not a demo cycle.

  • What happens in an AI consultation?

    A structured conversation on where AI is already leaking time or risk, what is reversible, and what should wait. You leave with a recommended next step. No implementation is started in that meeting unless you ask for it.

  • Do you implement AI or only advise?

    Both, when the case is clear. Strategy and governance first. Implementation and testing only on work you can review and reverse.
